How do I verify a debit card through micro-deposit
To verify and fund your account by micro-deposit can take up to 3-5 business days. We suggest verifying your debit card through our secure app and only using this method as a backup. For details on how to verify through our app click here.
First you will need to add your debit card details then we will run a $1 micro-deposit on your card. After the micro deposit has been run, you will need to upload your bank statement showing the $1 micro-deposit.
You can add your debit card details either on our desktop platform or mobile apps. We suggest using our desktop platform unless you are prompted on our mobile app to use the micro-deposit method because of a card scan fail.
For desktop:
- Log into your tastyfx dashboard (Accounts Dashboard)
- Select the 'live accounts' tab at the top of the page
- Select the 'Deposit funds' tab on the left-hand menu
- Select 'Fund via debit card'
- Select 'use micro-deposit method'
- Enter debit card details
Once the micro-deposit has been completed you must take the following steps to complete the verification process:
- Log into your tastyfx dashboard (Accounts Dashboard)
- Select the 'live accounts' tab at the top of the page
- Go to the 'verification' option in the left-hand menu
- Upload your bank statement with the $1 micro-deposit*
*Make sure your bank statement shows the following: your name, your bank account number, the $1 micro-deposit, and the bank's logo
Once you have submitted your documents, our team will review them and your debit card should be verified between 3 to 5 business days.
HOW DO I VERIFY Y MICRODEPOSIT BEFORE MY BANK STATEMENT HAS BEEN GENERATED FOR THIS MONTH?
In order to verify your debit card without the most recent bank statement, you will need to send two documents to us after we have added the $1 micro deposit.
The first document will need to be a screenshot, either from your banking website on the desktop or mobile application, showing:
- the last four digits of your bank account number
- $1 deposit transaction to tastyfx. This will be found in your recent transactions.
Please ensure that both requirements are shown on the same screenshot, not two different attachments.
The second document we will need is last month’s bank statement showing your:
- full name
- full bank account number
- complete bank logo
With these two documents, we will be able to see the last four digits of your bank account number from the screenshot match identically to the last four digits of your full bank account number shown on the bank statement. Since these numbers match, we can verify that the $1 transaction on the screenshot came from your bank account. Then we can verify your debit card before the new monthly bank statement is generated.
